Ernesto Catena Siesta Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
Ernesto Catena Intense, bright, yet clean red color. The nose is ample, offering concentrated aromas typical of the varietal, such as peppers, red & black fruit, as well as a hint of eucalyptus that adds freshness. In the mouth the wine is elegant, fleshy, and well endowed; offering jammy fruit. Balanced structure, complexity, and correct acidity are the traits of this wine. The soft and sweet tannins, appearing at the right moment, label it as a delicate Cabernet, among the finest of the vintage in my opinion. Wine Spectator A rich, toasty style, with lots of mocha and coffee leading the way for dark plum and currant fruit. Long, fleshy finish. For the hedonist crowd. Drink now through 2009.
